Last week, we extolled the virtues of taking the simplest first steps to sensory-inclusive design. This week we take a look at a those who are on the ground running.

 
 

Part of a state-wide campaign in Indiana, Conner Prairie's Memory Cafe is a place for seniors with Alzheimer's Disease/dementia and their families to socialize and participate in activities.

 

The goal of the Sierra Club's Military Outdoors program is to enrich the lives of vets and their families by providing healing and supportive group activities against the backdrop of the Great Outdoors.

 

Sesame Place in San Diego is the first theme park in the world to be a Certified Autism Center by IBCCES. See some of their services here.

 

San Antonio's DoSeum will debut "Beautiful Minds: Dyslexia and the Creative Advantage." The exhibit challenges assumptions on dyslexia and celebrates the differences in the way children learn.
